Heterocyclic Schiff's base transition metal complex synthesis: An overview

Author(s):

Santosh V Padghan

Abstract:

Schiff bases have attracted a lot of attention because of their adaptable metal chelating capabilities, innate biological activity, and ability to fine-tune their structure for a specific biological use. Research is being done on Schiff’s base-based metallo-drugs to create novel anticancer and antimicrobial chemotherapy treatments. Since anticancer and antimicrobial targets differ, heterocyclic Schiff-bases can be structurally altered to produce the desired molecule that targets a specific illness. This review focuses on the most recent and relevant literature, concerning the synthesis of heterocyclic Schiff-base metal complexes.
